This week our congratulations go to Kamil! Kamil has settled in beautifully to Primary 2/3. He has made a huge effort with all of his tasks but we were especially impressed with his creative writing this week! Kamil’s description of a dragon was absolutely fantastic and was finished with complete independence. Way to go, Kamil! We are so proud of you!

Money Money Money!

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to another exciting term ahead in P2/3! Our heads are down and we are working hard already!

These first few weeks we have been continuing to work on Money in Maths. Some of us have been counting and making coin collections for amounts up to 50p and some of us have been working up to £1. This is something which many of the children are finding quite challenging so any extra practise handling coins at home or when out shopping would be very useful. There are also some great games online which can be used to support your child in their learning. Here are the links for a couple of money games you might like to try with your child at home:

Many thanks for your support!

Star of the Week

Our congratulations go to Adel for being chosen as Star Pupil this week! Adel has made an excellent improvement in working with coins during Maths. He has tried his very best to count money accurately and use the strategies he has been shown. Way to go, Adel! We are so proud of you!

Visit to Margaret Clyne Court

We had a great time bringing some festive cheer to our friends at Margaret Clyne Court yesterday! They really enjoyed our concert songs and were delighted with the lovely cakes we made for them! It was lovely to see the children chatting and having fun with all the residents – they really did us proud!
