Each week on a Monday afternoon we will be going outside for outdoor learning with Mr Miller. Please be prepared for any weather!

Homework – Spelling and reading homework will continue this week. Spelling words will be given home on Monday and the book should be returned to school on Friday. Our spelling pattern is er/ir/ur as in bird and winter. Please write each word 3 times and choose 2 words and write a sentence with each. Spelling test will be on Friday so homework should be completed by then.
Reading – The children will get 2 new books this week on Monday and Thursday.
Maths
C – Counting in 3s
L – 6+8=14 5+7=12 5+8=13
I –Divide whole numbers by 10 130 divided by10=13
C – Multiplication 1 digit x 1 digit numbers
Our focus for other maths work this week will again be time. We will work on to quarter to and quarter past and the digital times for these.
French – This week our French will be our daily routine of the day and date for our calendar. We will also focus on the months of the year.
This week’s star of the week is Fraser. He did some fantastic work on the days of the week in French. Well done Fraser.

Topic – This will be our final week rounding off our Vikings topic.
This week’s star of the week is Charlie. He has been doing good work in maths working out halves and quarters of different amounts. Well done Charlie.

Maths – Revision of some of our CLIC targets
Our focus for other maths work this week will be to round off some money and fractions work we didn’t get finished before the holidays.
French – This week our French will be our daily routine of the day and date for our calendar. We will also revise numbers to 31.
Topic – This week and next we will do some further work on our Vikings topic before starting a new topic.
