This week we have been working on t & i with some of our pupils and ‘ee’ with others. We have also be working on the formation of the numbers 5-8 and counting forwards and backwards in 10s.
A very happy birthday to Nathan today!
Have a wonderful birthday. We wish your special day to be filled with lots of love, laughter, happiness and the warmth of sunshine.
We love spending time with our P6 buddies!
We have time for reading together every Tuesday afternoon and then get together again on Friday afternoon for a variety of different activities as suggested by all of us. Over the next two weeks we will be undertaking a character treasure hunt and tracings/drawings. It’s great to work with others!
We will continue to work on the following CLIC Targets this week
C – Count to 10, Count back from 10
L – 1 + 1 = 2, 2 + 2 = 4
I – Double 1, Double 2, Half 2, Half 4
C – Adding numbers together
Try to make any maths work at home as fun as possible – games, puzzles and jigsaws are a great way to start. It is also important to show how we use maths skills in our everyday lives so try to involve your child in this.
This week the P1 boys and girls will be learning 2 new sounds.
t & i
This week the P2 boys and girls will be focusing on 1 phoneme.
ee
Please look in their home/school book for activities to support their learning. Play with them and encourage them to build their knowledge and understanding around theses sounds and blends.
Well done to

For making a fantastic start to Primary 2 by being a superb role model to our Primary 1 pupils.
We are very proud of you!
What a wonderful afternoon spent watching The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!
What a busy week it has been for room 2!
We launched into Jolly Phonics, covering s & a with some of the children and oo with others. We also worked on recognising and forming single digit numbers with P1 and on numbers to 100 with P2.
I’ve heard the boys and girls continued to display enthusiasm and excitement for their learning, even when I was away for two days of professional development and they worked with different teachers in the school. I am very proud of them!
