Better Movers and Thinkers short videos and lesson planning

Better Movers and Thinkers approach to learning and teaching in PE can be found HERE and highlights the use of scaffolding practices to help develop performance. The scaffolding practices are demonstrated in a series of short videos featuring learners from both the primary and secondary school sectors. The resource also provides exemplars of lesson planning using the BMT approach.

BETTER MOVERS AND THINKERS COURSE

The intention is for Education Scotland to offer a two day BMT course to colleagues on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th August 2014 – just before the start of the new term. The course will be staged at Inverclyde National Centre in Largs, it will be residential, it is open to all primary and secondary school teachers and Education Scotland will pay all costs involved including travelling expenses.
The course programme will be flexible enough to accommodate colleagues who are meeting BMT for the first time, and also those who have some experience of BMT and want to expand their knowledge and understanding. The hope is that the timing of the course will help alleviate the difficulties experienced in trying to get out of school.
