Pathways Information for Parents and Carers
As young people move through school, they begin to make important decisions about the subjects and pathways that will shape their future learning and career options. To support families during this process, we have gathered key information and resources to help you understand the choices available at each stage of the Senior Phase.
On this page you will find helpful guidance and documents including our Senior Phase Course Choice Pathways Handbook, Argyll College Prospectus, and Pathways Forms for S3 to S5:
Please also see our newly developed S3-S6 Pathways documents for Literacy and PE. Our other faculties/Subjects are working on these and more information will be available soon:

These resources explain the options available, how the pathways process works, and how learners can build a programme of study that suits their interests, strengths and future ambitions.
We have also included the slides from our recent Pathways Information Event for parents and carers, which provide an overview of the course choice process and the support available to students as they plan their next steps.
We encourage parents and carers to explore these materials with their young person and discuss the options together. If you have any questions or would like further guidance, please do not hesitate to contact the school for support.
