Teal duck 

Teals can be seen all year round, but are more plentiful in winter. 

In the UK there are a about 210,000 wintering birds. 

Above- Male paddling in loch, near bank, searching for food.

Below- Female Tealduck standing on bank of loch. 

 

Their main diet is made up from wild seeds and other inverebrates. 

The scientific name for the Tealduck is Anas Creccas.
