Pigeon

Now, the rock pigeon can only be found on the northern and western coasts of Scotland and some Northern Ireland coasts as well.  

In the past some pigeons were used as messenger pigeons, these pigeons were known as Homing Pigeons, they were used to send letters and information during the wars.

Pigeons can fly up to 700miles in one single day, this can be done at the speed 97km/h (60mph). 

Both female and male pigeon produce a milk like substance in their crop which is given to their young.
