Hares breed from the start of February to the end of September. A female can have up to four litters in a year, each litter can contain four Leverets (which is the name of a baby hare).
I`m sure you thought that it was the males that boxed but it isn`t it is the females. They do it to fend off amorous males. This usually happens in the breeding season, over many months.
