Barnacle Goose

The Barnacle goose flies in packs and long lines, with a noisy chorus of barking or yapping sounds. 

 It migrates from Greenland to Europe in the winter, then in the spring they move back to Greenland.

 In Europe there are more than 390,000 individuals.             

  The largest number of geese reside in the Solway Firth (England and Scotland) and on Islay, Scotland.
