Today we enjoyed a morning assembly with Mr Mc Naughton talking about our vision and school values. We also had an opportunity to share our wider achievement.

This morning primary 7 had a meeting in the high school to share our views on ‘ belonging’ in our school. We had a few refreshments, met learners from other cluster schools and had the opportunity to discuss HWB initiatives we would like to see in happening.

To raise awareness of Children’s mental health week we watched a short assembly from Place To Be. We then read a few short stories to explore the theme if belonging.

This afternoon we had an extra football training session from West Lothian community Association. This was great fun, learning new skills and having a game at the end.

This week P5-7 had the chance to train up in leading their own lunch time club. During session 1 we explored the skills we would need to be able to organise a games club and we talked about the different sports we might like to play. Next week it is an outside active school’s session.
During Outdoor Learning we created our own design of our favourite book using only natural materials. We are also very proud of our new Bike shed!

After a wonderful morning with our author and an excellent Burns assembly practice, we had some fun playing football outside. We also played a few fun, fitness games in the hall before home time. One game we all loved is called ‘Steal the bacon’, and we finished off with a running game involving lots of skills such as communication and collaboration.
