Hand and Finger Painting

Hi Everyone,

How about trying some finger painting and see what you come up with, using my hands and fingers I painted a dinosaur and plant pot with flowers.

When I was out a walk I found a stone which I have painted a rainbow  and placed it at my front door to thank the people who deliver to my house.

Take care and Stay Safe

Homemade play dough recipe.

Hi, why not try making your own play dough at home and have some fun making your own models. Also if you’ve found any sticks, leaves, pine cones or flowers when you’ve been out on a walk you could always add these to your creations too.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/4  cup of Salt
  • 1 tea spoon Vegetable oil
  • Food colouring ( if you want it coloured)
  • Scent ( if you want it to smell nice)

How to make:

Step 1 : Place the flour and salt in a bowl

Step 2  :In another bowl mix water and food colouring

Step 3 : Mix the 2 bowls together and stir well, keep adding flour if it gets too sticky

Step 4 : Add vegetable oil at the end and store it in a container.

Just a note this play dough recipe can last for a few weeks.  You can store it in the fridge once the kids are done playing with it.

Hello Everyone, Mrs Hammermeister here.

I’ve made up this list of ideas of things you might want to try over the next few days.

Take care of yourselves and have fun!

INDOOR BOWLING  Collect some empty bottles and find a ball.  Set up a bowling alley in your hallway.

BUILD A DEN  Use chairs and blankets etc. to build your den. Go inside to read stories or have a tea party with your toys.

TREASURE HUNT Hide toys around the house for your child to find. Give clues about where to find them.

Set up a kitchen sink toy wash (have some towels at the ready!) Make sure to have the water nice and bubbly!

You will find some nice ideas for outdoor walks or time in your garden on The Woodland Trust and RSPB (birds) websites.
