Music Music Music

This morning we were learning about musical notes with Mrs Grenfell. Mrs Sutherland came back just in time to hear us play a tune and she cleverly guessed that it was our version of Twinkle Twinkle. Here are some of us enjoying our music lesson.

Tales of the Caribbean

We started a new topic in P5/6 this week – Caribbean Islands. We are going to be learning all sorts of information about the Caribbean. We started with a whole class carousel activity and then afterwards decided for which of the islands we are each going to be making a factfile. Everyone is super excited about this topic – we are simply bursting with ideas for study! CIMG0062 CIMG0063 CIMG0064 CIMG0065 CIMG0066 CIMG0067 CIMG0068 CIMG0069 CIMG0070

Blurb!

In P5/6, the Bruce reading group are reading “The Demon Headmaster” – a book all about a spooky headteacher…

He has taken to hypnotizing the children and teachers!! We decided to write a new blurb for the back cover to encourage other people to read this spook-tastic and hypnotic tale…oooo-oooo-ooooooooh!!!!! CIMG0072 CIMG0073 CIMG0074 CIMG0075 CIMG0076 CIMG0077 CIMG0078

Maths Activities

We have a new Maths Station in the class. We can choose an activity from here when we are finished our work. Today we were building number recognition towers, practising number formation, sorting the dinosaurs into doubles, matching numbers with the spots on the dice and playing a game on the laptop where we had to find the missing number. Have a look!
