We all earned our reward time for good listening and excellent behaviour, especially on our cinema trip! Some of us went to the other P1 class for a change. Here we are enjoying reward time.
Toys Investigation
This term we are learning about toys. We have been doing some investigation into different toys. We know that investigating is finding things out. We have found out that some toys are fluffy, some toys are made of plastic, some toys need batteries and some toys make a noise! We had magnifying glasses to help us have a closer look. Here we are being busy investigators.
P1 trip to the cinema

The children in Primary 1 were very excited to go on their first school trip. Last Wednesday we went to Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The bus journey was very exciting-especially going over the Forth road bridge. The cinema was lovely-the old fashioned, squeaky seats were a real novelty. Unfortunately we were unable to see the film due to technical issues with the sound! The children did enjoy eating their snack in the cinema and the return bus journey! Here’s hoping our next outing will be more successful.
Pudsey Stall
The P7s are running the Pudsey Stall all week selling home baking and Pudsey Merchandise.
Anytime Anywhere Learning (AAL)
Anytime Anywhere Learning (AAL)
All teaching staff at Uphall Primary School have recently had AAL training. This is the use of technology, both from home and provided by school, to support teaching and learning within classrooms. Children will soon be able to bring their own devices, in agreement with their parents and carers, to school.
Our first job is to work with the children to decide on a set of rules which they will follow.
We look forward to sharing our progress with you over the coming months.
