Another new year

Our new Primary 1 children started school today.  They look so smart in their new school uniforms and shiny new shoes!  We are desperate to see what is inside their ‘Marvellous Me’ boxes-thank you parents and carers for your input.  Today the children listened to a story called ‘The Kissing Hand’ and made a very special gift to take home . We had lots of tired boys and girls by lunchtime-Mrs McKay and Mrs Sutherland are very tired today too!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow.

We have lots to learn throughout this year and will post pictures of their first days soon.

We have also seen our grown up boys and girls from last year and are amazed at how much you have grown over summer-good luck to you all for Primary 2.

CPR Training with Primary 2 and Primary 2/3

Today Primary 2 and Primary2/3 pupils experienced the combined expertise of a group of army and medical professional who trained them in the use of CPR. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the team had a fantastic manner with the children. Thank you from all the staff and pupils.DSCF3196 DSCF3197 DSCF3203 DSCF3208 DSCF3210 DSCF3213 DSCF3218

On Friday a leavers assembly was held for our Primary 7 pupils to mark their achievements over the past 7 years at Uphall Primary. We had several outstanding prize winners. We wish all pupils well for their future education and beyond.

Speaking and Learning in Primary 1S

Here we are in Primary 1S this morning. We had an interesting talk about different types of dinosaur including a discussion about whether dinosaurs were created after the earth was hit by either a meteorite or an asteroid! We also learned two new words to do with horses, which are reins and stirrups. We also know a bit more about Optimus Prime and his enemies. Some excellent questions from the class this morning. Well done !

If you want to be the best and you want to beat the rest, oooo dedication is what you need!

Primary 5/6, and the 6s from P6/7 (along with several hundred other West Lothian children) all gathered in Livingston Football stadium on Thursday 2nd June and together, WE MADE A NEW WORLD RECORD! It’s in the Guinness Book of Records. Well done to everyone taking part and especially well done to Mrs. Kilpatrick for leading the team to victory. All that hard work paid off!
