P7 Class Trip

On Wednesday the P7 class took a trip to Sky Skills Studio in Livingston to make a 6 minute TV report called Mind, Body and Sport. The children had to work as a team and developed their skills such as self management, creativity and problem solving.

Learning in P1M

We were delighted to find out that we had the most prefect points this week.  It was good having the playground to ourselves-Cameron.

We did some magic with crayons and black paint to make special picture frames for our first day at school photos-Max.

I enjoyed making a Halloween card-my hand was covered in green paint.  It looked crazy!-Cory.

I made a zig zag book telling the story of The Rainbow Fish.  I managed to write the numbers on my pictures so that I knew where I had to put them in my book-Elsa.

Look who’s here! We are listening carefully to Gary. He is telling us all about what firefighters do to keep us safe. Tonight we have to ask a grown up at home to check that we have a smoke alarm and that it is working properly. If we don’t have one, then Gary can come round with one for us.

We have lots of questions for Gary.

Mrs McKay is dressing up as a firefighter because Gary said that Mrs Sutherland is too large. She hopes he means tall !!

Please ask us about Gary’s visit because we are learning lots !

Primary 1 Literacy

It was a very exciting day in Primary 1S today as we did our very first piece of work in our new Literacy jotters. First of all we learned about the word “Literacy”. Then we talked about our favourite part of the story of The Rainbow Fish. We explained our understanding of what it means when something is a favourite, by talking about our favourite sweets, colours and our favourite teacher. (Mrs Sutherland told us who that might be!)

We hope you like our work. We walked around the class and had a look at each other’s jotters, then we each chose our favourite!
