P1 learning
We have had a busy day in P1 today. We’ve learned to recognise the long ‘a’ sound and discovered how magic e can also change the a sound to make long a. We have also found out how we can create linked number facts when we add and subtract. This afternoon brought great excitement when we had a tennis taster session. Lots of the children were keen to learn to play tennis-leaflets about it are being sent home today. Ask us about the new ribbons we have for next week’s gymnastics lesson.
Terrific Tennis P2/3
Today P2/3 had a treat! Simon came to our school to teach us tennis skills.
We had a warm up activity which involved running on the spot and trying to grab the tennis ball before your partner. Then we bounced balloons on the tennis rackets. After that we used bean bags to throw onto our partners racket. Our partner had to tap the bean bag back to us.
We thought it was fun and enjoyable. We really liked practising the tennis skills.
P4 – Learning Term 3
We have been learning about badminton in PE. We learned how to use the forehand grip and serve. Our topic is Vikings. They were warriors and also traders. We are also learning about their food and we know that Viking helmets don’t have horns.
