We enjoyed sharing our favourite stories with our P7 buddies this morning. In P1 we love listening to and talking about stories. We are looking forward to dressing up for World Book day tomorrow, perhaps the teachers will be dressed up too?!

Where’s Wally in Primary 1?!
On Thursday 2nd March we celebrate World Book Day. We will have someone extra in the Primary 1 area that day!
Boys and girls, your challenge is to find Wally in the P1 classrooms or area! He will be hiding very carefully from you!
Here is some more information about World Book Day 🙂
Good luck Primary 1 and happy reading!
The Daily Mile in Primary 1
Here we are getting ready for and then taking part in our daily mile challenge. The older boys and girls are doing this and we think we can do it too!
We have talked about different ways of moving – we can walk, jog, run, skip, hop and even march. We can chat to our running buddies when we are outside, and if we are lucky our running buddy might be one of our teachers!
There is some information about the daily mile here: The Daily Mile
We enjoyed being out in the fresh air. Mrs Sutherland and Mrs McKay were a bit windswept afterwards!!
Education City
All children in Primary 1 have been given a letter today explaining how to login to Education City at home. Each child has their own unique username and password. Â We have allocated some games for the children to explore (instead of sending out homework in the red homework jotters), have a look in the ‘Homework’ section. Â In class we are working through the activities at Early level-either Early** or Early***. Â Some of the activities at First level will be too difficult for the children to complete independently.
Have fun boys and girls!
Whirry Bangs Galore!
Thank you to everyone at home who helped the children create their Whirry Bang models. Â The children are extremely proud of their creations, talking confidently about how they made them. Â We have compared designs and styles within our own class and with P1S. Â Primary 4 visited our classroom to see our Whirry Bangs too-they gave us great feedback.
