• Is it written in paragraphs? If not, use this sign / to show where you should have started a new paragraph.
• Have you remembered all of your punctuation?
• Do you have capital letters at the start of sentences and for names?
• Is it descriptive? Have you used lots of exciting descriptive words? If not, put some in!

So the theme this week is ‘transitions’ – this  is when we start to get you ready for your next year at school- new teachers, new groups and exciting new challenges!

Literacy: L.I To write a letter for your new teacher

Later this week you will find out who your teacher will be for next year. As you will not be able to meet them until August we will be writing them a letter all about yourself which you can hand to them on the first day back at school.

Today I would like you to gather together notes and ideas for your letter. Here are some ideas you may want to write notes about…

-Introduce yourself- explain what type of person you are- e.g. personality

-Your friends and family

-Your likes/dislikes

-How you’ve found learning in lockdown

-What you enjoy at school

-What you find tricky/might need some help with

-Your questions/ worries about P4

-What you are looking forward to in P4
