P6A Robert Burns Treasure Hunt

On the 21st of November P6A and P6K found part of a letter and it was all torn up.  We went outside and managed to find all the missing pieces and had to fit them together.  Once we could read it we found out it was Robert Burns’ poems; Tam O Shanter and To A Mouse.

Here are some pictures from the Treasure Hunt:

P6A Children In Need

On Monday 19th of November the P7s decided to do a Pudsey Stall and sell lots of stuff like Pudsey Ears, Blush Ears, Key Rings,Wristbands and Home Baking.  Our personal favourites from the Home Baking stall were Chocolate Marshmallows, Rocky Road and Cupcakes.

On Friday 23rd November it was dress down day and we had to wear something spotty.  Sadly the stall ran out of home baking but luckily we did some cupcake decorating in our class.

On Friday we also watched a video that showed a little boy that couldn’t move his legs but luckily he got help from his family and a charity so he could walk and play with others! He is living a happy life and having fun thanks to the money raised by Children in Need!

Here are some pictures of our cupcakes and spotty outfits from dress down day:

P6A trip to the Oatridge Hotel

On Tuesday the 8th of November P6A went on a trip to the Oatridge Hotel.  We got a warm welcome by Vivian as soon as we walked in. When we got in we got split into groups of eleven (11).One group went with Gordon to plan a fake party and the other group went with Laura to set the tables (the posh way). We also went with Gordon to plan  a party only having a budget of £150. Then with Laura we were shown what all the plates and cutlery were all for then we had to remember where to put them and set our own table with a partner.

P6A Halloween Stained Glass Windows

This week we were making some Halloween stained glass windows.  The materials we used were tissue paper (any colour), black paper, PVA glue and scissors. First we had to draw our designs on the black paper.  Second we cut it out.  To begin cutting it out, we had to fold the paper and make a slit.  Once we finished cutting, our design looked something like this:

Finally we added tissue paper to the back using the PVA glue.  Here are some of our finished designs:
