We enjoyed a very creative maths lesson today. The children were breaking down numbers visually and looking for patterns and groups. The children showed some great mathematical thinking and understanding and were able to transfer their thinking into our number talk. Great effort today, well done everyone.
In maths today we were looking at number patterns and tried to find all the different ways we can make numbers, we used our fingers to help us. We agreed that our priority was not to see who could be the first one finished but to see who could use the best mathematical thinking.
Primary 2G enjoyed learning about line, shape and colour in art this week by making collages inspired by the work of abstract artist Piet Mondrain. Mrs. Benzeval
Another super week in Primary 2G and the children are continuing to earn Dojos for excellent behaviour. We have been practising using a ruler properly with our ruler art activity. We have had some fantastic writing in our piece on all about me. This along with lots of maths and phonics games to revise and consolidate our learning from last year. We have kicked off our Farm to Fork topic, learning about where our food comes from and we are keeping active during our daily mile. Keep up the great work Primary 2! Mrs. Benzeval
