Read a chapter of the class novel you took home.  Find 3 interesting words in the text.  Write down the meaning of each word and then use each one in a sentence of your own.  (You may need to use a dictionary or ask an adult to help you.)

The word sheet with camera images are your new sight words to learn and add to your word tub, the other sheet had new sounds to learn (sh, wh, qu) try finding words with these sounds in them around the house and in your story books.

You can use the Oxford Owl website to browse for some free online books to help with reading.  Your child will be familiar with Biff, Chip and Kipper so they might enjoy them.  Just copy and paste the link below into your browser.

Homework school closure

Just another copy of the suggested activities for P2/3 for anyone who did not get it.

Why don’t you try make a treasure hunt for your family around your house or in your garden? You could draw a map or use your descriptive language to write clues for your treasure hunt!

Primary 3/4 can choose a page to complete in the money workbook. After that they could play some maths games on top marks. Remember to log onto IDL daily and education city is a great resource.

We would normally revise spelling daily in class choosing from various activities.  Children can choose a different square on the grid each day to learn their weekly spelling words.
