Primary 1

Good Morning Primary 1!

Today you could try some math games on Education City. In class we had been working on counting in 10’s and getting quicker with our number bonds to 10. Games to help practice are ‘Number bonds that total 10’ and ‘Counting in 10’s to 100’. For a challenge you could try working on your number bonds to 20 playing ‘Number bonds up to 20’.

Remember these are only suggestions as you have lots of activities in your home learning pack.

Good morning Primary 1! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend!

As well as working on your spelling, writing and number activities in your home learning pack Id like to suggest a descriptive writing task today. Read one of your favourite books with an adult and draw a detailed picture of the main character in your jotter. Then under your drawing write one or two sentences that describe what your character looks like and what they do. Remember to think about using a capital letter, finger spacing and a full stop.

I look forward to seeing your descriptive writing task when we are all back at school!

Here are some nice art tasks you could try at home too. Just click on the link. art tasks

Miss Haliday has also provided some great early learning grids on her post this morning so take a look at those for other great ideas.

There have been a lot of grids flying around so I thought I would put them all together in one handy file. These are for all ages and all different areas of the curriculum.

Stay safe and have a great week.

Primary 2/3

Good morning  everyone, I hope you have had a nice weekend with your families. It is a lovely sunny morning so make time to go out in the garden and enjoy it. I have just put some bird food out and can now see some blackbirds and blue tits enjoying the food. Why don’t you become a nature detective today? What can you see ? Can you see signs of spring? I have daffodils and crocuses starting to appear. Draw some pictures and find out about some of the things in your garden today. You could make a leaflet or poster.
