Good Morning I hope you are all well and looking forward to our virtual trip to Chester Zoo today.
We are having a trip to Chester Zoo! Choose one of the Virtual tours and select some of the animals you would like to visit. I would like you to choose at least 2 animals to visit but you can visit as many as you wish.
I have added more details and resources to another blog specifically for the Zoo, you can choose to do a fact file or a recount of your day. Have a great day.
Challenge yourself to carry out 5 similar calculations.

Giving Thanks Jar
Dedicate a jar (decorate one, if you wish) and have little pieces of paper ready to write on beside it. You may want to make a routine of adding cards to the jar, or just let people add items as they wish, each with something you are grateful for. At a specified time, sit down with the family and read the cards together.
Keep practicing reading and writing your sight words in your word tub.
Writing
Today you could learn about imperative verbs, these are ‘bossy’words. Watch the short video. Pause before hearing the answer to questions to give yourself thinking time.
Now use the word mat to help you write two of your own sentences using an imperative verb, a ‘bossy’ word, at the start. Remember capital letters, spacing and full stops.
Carry out length activities and order from smallest to largest.
You can always try ordering number and money.
Try to log into sumdog and do an activity.
Art
Environmental Art with Ice.
Get a balloon or a small container and collect different natural materials from your garden. You could collect petals, grass, feathers seeds put them inside your balloon or small container then add some water. Put in the freezer overnight.
Get an adult to help you take off the plastic balloon or get your frozen art out of container. Take outdoors if it is nice and take a picture every 5 or 10 minutes, can you see all of the different colours and textures? You could make a few and create a display. Take a picture of your art and post on twitter, teams or email to your teacher.
Try selecting a fictional book (a story that is made up) and then reflect back and try to think about these questions…
Q1) who was in the story?
Q2) Where did the story happen?
Q3) Talk about what happened in order.
Draw a picture of your favourite part in the story. Include the title of the book.
