Literacy
Practise your handwriting in your jotter as neatly as you can. You could write out the days of the week or months of the year in order

Maths
Practise counting numbers up to 100.

Writing

Click on the link and unscramble the sentences, try one or two of your choice. Write your sentences neatly in your jotter thinking about letter formation and finger spaces. Look for clues to help you work out the start and end of the sentence (capital letters and full stops).

Counting Caterpillar game to work on number order. You can work with numbers between 0-20, 0-50, 0-100, 0-150.

PE

Practice your bat and ball skills with balloon tennis. Make your own racket using a paper plate, lolly stick or any other similar item for a handle and stick them together using tape. With a partner try hitting the balloon back and forward. You could also design your own tennis net and see how many passes you can do without the balloon hitting the ground. Look at the short clip to help you.

Use these craft instructions to create your own wellbeing jar. Having things to
look forward to can make you feel happier and improve your wellbeing. Each
time you think of something you would like to do in the future, write it on a
piece of paper and place it inside your decorated jar.

Here are our tasks for today.

Literacy

Write an imaginative story with the title:

Camping in the woods

Can you use your senses to describe what it is like to be in the woods?

What sounds could you hear in the woods?

Are the sights and sounds of the woods different at different times of day?

Use this picture to inspire writing.

Good Morning Everyone. What another lovely day. Here are today’s suggested activities. Remember to make time for fun in the sun too.

Literacy

Spelling from the grid

Fact file or informative poster using yesterday’s research. The fact file should have a front cover, be a few pages long and include pictures and information. The poster should be bright and bold and include both facts and picture. Complete these to your best standard.

 

Maths- Please look at the weeks maths from the weekly grid previously posted. We will now be working through this. Due to the site being down yesterday we will now be running a day behind. If there are any problems with the site today please visit Education City or Topmarks.

Other activity

Visit cosmic yoga on Youtube. Complete the Wizard of OZ.

After watching the video you could look around the house for things that can be used to sound like some of the instruments that you saw or use recycled materials to design and make your own instrument.

Here is an image of traditional African Jewelry made from beads. Some colours have special meanings. Look closely at the colours and patterns. They are very bright and eye catching.
