Primary 2/3

Maths

You can do numeracy on IDL or Education City.

We are also going to focus on your measuring skills.

Find 10 different objects and sort them according to size from shortest to longest.

Think about jobs people do where they need to measure and why it is important. Think about what could go wrong if they didn’t have good measuring skills !

Write or draw pictures in your jotter.

Primary 1 and 2/3 RME

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wnbo2AmS3OI

Good morning Primary 1 and Primary 2/3!

As it is close to Easter use the link above to listen to the Easter Story. Try retelling the story in your own words to someone in your family.

Think about what Easter Eggs symbolise? Draw and design your own Easter egg on paper. If you do an egg design you could display it in your window to become part of an Easter Egg Hunt! See how many you can spot on your next walk!

You could also try drawing an Easter chick, just follow the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V5eBOz19O4

Primary 1, remember to keep doing your daily number and literacy tasks using your number learning grids and the read/write/spell task card sheets. Record any work in your jotter.

Most importantly, enjoy your break and we will see you back here in two weeks!

Take care Primary 1 and Primary 2/3!

Primary 2/3

Good morning P2/3.  Why don’t you try to do some procedure writing on how to make a sock puppet.  Don’t forget to follow the layout of title, goal, materials (what you need) and steps (what you do) to help you.  Remember the things we always need when writing – capital letter, fullstop, finger spaces, punctuation and good vocabulary.

When you are finished you could follow your instructions to make your own puppet using an old sock! Good luck!

2nd April 2020 Primary 3/4

Good morning everyone.  Here are some tasks you might like to try this morning.

  • Read another chapter of your novel. Find any 10 words in your book and put them into alphabetical order.
  • Learn your spelling words choosing a different task from yesterday.
  • Don’t forget physical activity is important so maybe you could visit You Tube and exercise with Joe Wicks or dance with Oti Mabuse.
