Play charades. Write down
the words and phrases below on separate
pieces of paper. Your child chooses one and
acts it out for you to guess. You can always add some of your own!

Practice writing and reading your numbers 1-50 and 1-100

Ask an adult to call out numbers for you to record on paper. Play pass the number taking it in turns to count on, you could practice saying the next two or three numbers.

A good game to help you practice is wack mole on ICT games. Put the setting to ‘going up in 1’s’ and select the number you want to start at. If you want to challenge yourself try setting it to counting backwards!

Good morning Primary 3/4, I hope you are all well.  Here are some activities for today.

Maths Task 

Learning Intention – To divide by 3 with remainders (Circles) and add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 (Squares/Triangles) 

Success Criteria -I can use my times table knowledge to complete the calculations. 

Task 1–Visit the Topmarks site and choose the division option on the Mental Maths Train game.

Literacy Task  

Learning Intention – To create short texts for different purposes. 

Success Criteria –   I can select and use a range of ambitious vocabulary suited to the task. 

Task 1 –Use some of the Wordboost words we have learned in class ) to write a paragraph.  Don’t forget your personal targets e.g. spelling, openers, connectives etc.  Draw an illustration to highlight this.

Using what you have learned about coronavirus during the past few months, create a how to stay safe poster which highlights the different ways of preventing the spread of the virus.    Think about how you can make your poster eye-catching e.g. use of colour, bold writing, illustrations etc.

Try selecting a non-fiction book today from home  or using oxford reading owl E books. Think about these questions BEFORE you start reading…

Revise telling the time to the hour and half past. Use your home made clock or one of our time games that we have played on education city or on ICT games.

H&W

We need to remember to look after ourselves as well as others. Take a look at the attached task and think of ways you can be good to yourself. Its good to check in with how you are feeling. This activity can help you think of ways to picking yourself up if your feeling a little sad, or just want to treat yourself.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well.  Here are some tasks for today.

Virtual Zoo

Welcome to our virtual trip to Chester Zoo – I hope you are very excited and looking forward to meeting the animals. If you click on the link above  for the zoo and scroll down to the Virtual Zoo Day section.

If you visit Virtual Day 1 –  You can see and learn about the Red Panda, Giraffes and Elephants.

Virtual Day 2- You can see the baby Meerkats have breakfast and you can have brunch with an Eastern Black Rhino.

Virtual Day 3 -You can learn about Tree Kangaroos and meet the Lions.

Virtual Day 4 -You can meet the Asian Short Clawed Otters and  see the Elephants have a pool party!

Virtual Day 5 – You can meet the Chimpanzees and The Painted Dogs.

There are many more animals you can visit and learn about, it is your zoo trip so you choose what you want to see and you don’t have to watch all of them but I would like you to at least visit 2 of the animals. You can go back and learn about them at any time over the next few weeks.
