Children will be sent home with homework tasks this week.
Each child will be given a red homework jotter to record their work at home but this is not to be brought back into school, it is for home use only.
Any task sheets sent home are for home use only too. If you would like to share images of your child’s homework please email them to the school office (subject P1/2 teacher).
P1 have a letter formation sheet for m,c,s and p. This is to help practice letter formation using writing materials.
Thank you, Mrs Paterson

Good afternoon.
In P1/2 we have been busy re-capping our previous learning in literacy and numeracy. We have also been introducing new sounds and working on our number skills. Health and well-being has been another focus giving us lots of opportunities to talk about our emotions and how we are all coping settling back into our new routines. Homework tasks linked to class learning will be posted on the blog starting next week.

It was lovely having all the children back in class last week, they have settled well and we have created 2 lovely wall displays – well done everybody!
Our spelling words for the week are listed below and we have some tricky words to practice, we also have the Fry’s word list as an extension. Choose 6 words from the spelling list below and write sentences.Carry out some tasks from our homework grid as well.
Homework jotters will be given out with a reading book on Monday and can I ask that these be returned on Thursday so that we can store for 72 hours. Children will be working on different reading books in class during the week.

It was so lovely to welcome all the children back to school last week, we’ve really missed them! We are very proud of how well they are adapting to all the changes.
Here is a brief overview of Primary 3/4 which you may find helpful.
A monthly homework grid for September will be issued soon.
We will be assessing all the children over the next couple of weeks and weekly spelling and reading homework will be allocated to each group, more details will be shown in the homework grid.
We appreciate your continued support.
Thank You

It was lovely to welcome the children back last week. I have added an overview for parents information and a homework grid which can be used until the end of September.
Homework can be returned to school on a Thursday and be quarantined for 72 hours.
Reading books given home on a Monday and we will also ask that these are returned on a Thursday.
We will use different books in school and they will remain in your child’s tray.
Spelling words will be given out on the Blog at the start of the week with a tricky word list.
Children should work on 6 spelling words and if they wish challenge themselves to find 3 more words with the same pattern.
If your child has no difficulty with this weeks tricky word set you can continue to work on Fry’s word list.

We will also continue to use IDL for the P3 children and our P2 children have been added and will be able to access it from home over the next week.
I will be assessing the children over the next few weeks.
Thank you for your continued support.
