Primary 1 Monday 15th June

Good morning P1, I hope you had a lovely weekend!

Here is this weeks overview for some learning ideas.

P1 HL grid 15th June

Literacy

Select a read, spell write task card.

Use your best handwriting and remember to think about a capital letter at the start of a sentence and a full stop at the end.

Numeracy

Number grid activity

Ordering numbers to 100 or beyond.

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/ordering-and-sequencing/caterpillar-ordering

Art

Watch this lovely story about ‘Leaf Man’. Then try out the activity outlined below.

  1. Think about the many pictures of people, animals, and other objects created entirely out of leaves in the story.
  2. You will need two sheets of white paper, crayons or pastels, and various different leaves.
  3. Think about what type of person you can create using the available leaves. For example, it could be a football player, an archer, or superhero.
  4. Lay out the leaves on one of the sheets of paper. Then, place the other sheet of paper over top of the leaves and lightly colour over the top of the leaves with your crayons or pastels to reveal the shapes of the leaves.
  5. To complete your person, try adding a background, facial features, and other props the leaf person might use.

Have a good day P1!
