Primary 1 Wednesday 10th June

Good Morning P1!

Learning ideas for today…

Literacy

Practice your sight words (reading and writing)

Writing Task: Last week we looked at bossy words…

Now think about brushing your teeth. Its something we do 2 or 3 times a day to keep our teeth healthy. Look at the attachment below, its a picture sequence of how we brush our teeth.

brush your teeth

You could even go to the bathroom and brush your own teeth before this task to help you think about all the actions and the order you do them in.

Use the pictures to help you write ‘bossy’ sentences that match the pictures. Or draw your own set of picture instructions about how to brush your teeth.

To put your instructions to the test, why don’t you get someone to use your instructions and see how well they are able to brush their teeth when following them!

Number

Number grid activity

Taking away within 10. Play the Lazy Lambs game on Education City.

Use a dice to roll a number and take it away from 10. Remember you can use your 10 frame to help you! You could also practice writing the sum down.

STEM

Listen to the story of the Gingerbread man…

Now take a look at the task below, your challenge is to design and set a trap for the gingerbread man…remember to send any pictures if you get the chance!

STEM Activity

Have fun!
