Be Your Best

Primary 6/7 – Friday 17th April

Primary 6/7 have had a fantastic first week back at school after the spring break with lots of great learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We all really enjoyed our last badminton lesson in PE on Tuesday as we have clearly made great improvements with our badminton skills and we all played great competitive doubles games
  • We enjoyed our Writing lesson this week as we were given the opportunity to choose our writing tasks for a “Free Writing” session this week
  • We all really enjoyed Outdoor Learning yesterday as our class were generally being more responsible and enjoyed our time outdoors
  • Many of us are looking forward to our new PE topic of football and working on different skills and ball control
  • We all really enjoyed our second class debate which took place this week because there were very strong detailed arguments in our debating speeches with clear improvements from our first debate last term
  • Lots of us felt that our Learning Hub groups made great progress and got lots of work done
  • Some of us felt positive about returning to school and getting back into the school routine
  • We felt that we did very well with our comprehension work with Mrs Robertson

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us felt that there was a bit of silliness during our Science experiment this week which resulted in the classroom becoming quite messy and water being spilled on the tables and floor
  • Some of us found getting back to the school routine a little difficult as we got back into our daily and weekly timetables

Our school value award winners for this week are Zac, Annie and Harvey. Our school award winners on the last day of term before the holiday were Matilda and Ruaridh. Massive congratulations to all five children!

Well done P6/7 for a wonderful week in school. Have a lovely weekend.
