Be Your Best

Friday 27th March Primary 2/3

The last week of term has been a busy one in P2/3.  Here’s what we would like to share about our learning:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We learned about Fair Trade and we now know what symbol to look for on products we buy.
  • For our writing session this week we wrote persuasive texts about why we would like a class pet.  We managed to think of lots of strong arguments and used different sentence starters to make it more interesting.
  • We enjoyed working in random groups to complete a Rich Task in Maths which involved thinking of different ways to make 8. We were able to collaborate and share our strategies with each other.
  • We were also learning the two times table and were solving multiplication problems relating to this.
  • During outdoor learning we went on a Texture Adventure where we used the sense of touch to find lots of  different textures.  We were amazed with all the different textures in our local environment and this earned us another stamp in our Happy By Nature passports.
  • We also loved hearing about everyone’s achievements during the Achievement Assembly.

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • We agreed that after the holidays we would need to work harder on keeping the classroom tidy and making sure we tucked our chairs in when we left them.

Our school value award winners for this week are Zaynab and Olivia C for being ambitious and resilient Well done girls!

Have a lovely Easter break everyone!
