Be Your Best

Primary 6/7 – Friday 6th March

Primary 6/7 have had an excellent week with lots of wonderful learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We feel that we really enjoyed outdoor learning this week as we went to a different location and were being more responsible
  • We feel very positive about our first debate in class, which we held on Friday morning, as all of the speakers did really well and made very strong formal speeches about our debating topic linked to social media restrictions for young people
  • We very much enjoyed creating our classroom door display for World Book Day. We designed a fantastic display with many great images and thoughts about our current classroom novel, “Boy, Everywhere”
  • We enjoyed reading quietly when the reading bell rang in school on World Book Day
  • We really enjoyed our dress up/dress down morning on Friday for World Book Day

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us felt a little frustrated that we didn’t play badminton games in PE earlier in the week, due to a problem with untangling the badminton net and some issues around some people in class not being responsible. However, we resolved this at the end of the week and we really enjoyed playing games on Friday

Our school value award winners for this week are Niamh and Jake. Congratulations!

Well done P6/7 for a fantastic, busy week. Have a lovely weekend.
