What a busy week it’s been in Primary 6/7. Following our discussion, here’s what we would like to share about our learning this week:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We really enjoyed our PE this week as it was our last tag rugby session and lots of people scored tries.
- In Maths we were learning about mixed and improper fractions and we found this fun to do because we now have a good understanding of it.
- During outdoor learning we went to ‘Bonner’s Bog’ where we enjoyed experimenting with the different textures of ground and using trees and sticks for den building.
- We enjoyed working on our Famous Scots projects because we were able to choose who to research and in what way to present our findings. Some of us also further developed our digital skills by choosing Power Points as a way to share what we had researched.
- We were also developing our sketching skills when producing a piece of Art about our chosen famous Scottish person.
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- Some of us felt that learning our Scots poems for the recitals in class has been tricky as they contain so many unfamiliar Scots words.
- We also have a lot of songs to learn for our upcoming Burns Supper so this has been a challenge too.
Our school value award winners for this week are Matthew and Che. Congratulations!
Have a lovely weekend.
