We have had a fantastic week in P2/3 with lots of festive activities and celebrations.
Tickled Pink
- We had our whole school assembly on Tuesday with Rev Boyd and we enjoyed hearing the brass group playing Jingle Bells, some of them had only been playing for 10 weeks. We also enjoyed seeing P5/6 ‘s video about a modern day twist on the Christmas Story and hearing P6/7 read passages for us. We were able to perform some of our songs from the nativity.
- We played a festive roll the dice game where we made up different stories using different characters , settings and plot cards, we then wrote our own and read them at story time!
- We enjoyed our maths challenges identifying different number combinations of gifts in Santa’s sacks. We made it more challenging by increasing the number of gifts and numbers of sacks.
- We really enjoyed our Festive STEM morning, creating different patterns, zip wire for Santa or a winter wonderland!
- We really enjoyed doing show and tell on Wednesday morning.
- We loved our Christmas Party !
- We loved our trip to the cinema!
- We had an achievement assembly on Friday morning.
Green for Growth
- We do need to get better at looking after our class resources when we are doing creative tasks, some pens lost lids and so did some glue sticks.
- We also need to try and keep our work area clear when we are using STEM materials as there was lots on the floor and it is the same few children who help tidy up.
Have a wonderful festive break everyone and we look forward to seeing you back next year on the 5th of January 2026!
