Be Your Best

Primary 6/7 – Friday 28th November

Primary 6/7 have had a wonderful week with lots of fantastic learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We really enjoyed our Mandarin lesson this week as we learned about how to say the names of immediate family members in Mandarin and we also really enjoyed our Mandarin teachers pulling together a lot of our learning so far to show how we can have short conversations in Mandarin about saying hello, asking and answering about names and age, etc
  • We all really enjoyed our Tag Rugby lessons in PE as we improved our passing skills and started to learn how to “underlap” after passing the ball
  • We also enjoyed our rounding work in Maths as many of us made great progress and completed a very good amount of work
  • Primary 7s really enjoyed their online transition lesson with the focus this week on Modern Studies and they were asked to consider creating their own country
  • We really enjoyed our buddying session with the Primary 1s this week as we felt that our buddies are becoming more independent when we are doing tasks together

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us found our Maths work on data handling a bit tricky
  • Some of us were a little disappointed that our Bikeability session didn’t go ahead this week due to staff absence but we are looking forward to it next week

Our lead learners were Faith, Jake, Sebastian and Mason.  They decided on the following three targets for the class; to be responsible with resources inside and outside, to be respectful to all adults in the school and to be responsible outside in the playground. They observed lots of learners in the class meeting those targets which is great news.

Our school value award winners for this week are Ben and Henry. Congratulations!

Well done P6/7 for an excellent, busy week. Have a lovely weekend.
