Primary 6/7 have had another wonderful week, with lots of exciting learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We really enjoyed our Writing lesson this week as we were given the option to choose the topic for our recount writing
- We feel that we are making good progress with our assembly practice sessions as we get ready for our class assembly next Friday
- We enjoyed our Maths work on shapes as we are becoming more confident with the names and properties
- We really enjoyed our PE tag rugby sessions as we are starting to get used to the rules and how to play the game effectively
- We enjoyed our outdoor learning session as we had time to explore and enjoy the outdoor area
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning):
- Some of us felt a that Mental Maths was a bit tricky this week as it was our first time with the slides being timed and this made it a bit more difficult
- Some of us found our new spelling words a bit tricky this week, especially some of the definitions for words that we hadn’t come across before
Our lead learners for this week were Calla, Kyle, Annie and Niamh. They set the following class targets for the week; be ambitious, use equipment responsibly and don’t swing on chairs. Our lead learners witnessed lots of our class meeting these targets, which was brilliant to see.
Our school value award winners for this week are Abbie and Matthew.
Well done for a fantastic week, P6/7. Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you for both the Sharing the Learning event and our P6/7 class assembly next week.
