P1 have had a super week!

Tickled Pink:

• We read Jack and the Beanstalk this week for topic and the children enjoyed doing various activities related. We used cubes to measure different beanstalks to celebrate Maths Week Scotland. We also took part in a drama session and worked with a partner to act out different parts of the story.
• In literacy we have been practising all of the sounds we have learned so far and have enjoyed playing different games including the bean matching game.
• We have started looking at adding in maths and talking about how we work it out.

 

Green for Growth:

• Some children found the adding a bit tricky but we will continue to practise this.
• Some children are unsure what some of the numbers look like and so this makes it a bit challenging to write the correct answers.

 

Lead Learners next week are Emily and Zaynab.
