Be Your Best

P1 Friday 20th September 2024

We have had a great short week in P1.

Tickled Pink:

  • We have been learning more sounds in Phonics and the children have loved learning the new songs. We have also been playing different phonics games such as connect 4. The children have to name the letter they are covering and try to cover four in a row.
  • We have been reading Little Red Riding Hood for topic this week and the children enjoyed learning a song called ‘I love Red’. We learned about long and short notes and fast and slow tempo.
  • We have been focusing on counting groups of items and matching numbers or writing the correct number.

Green for Growth:

  • Some children are finding it a bit tricky to remember what some of the numbers look like but we will continue to practise this.

Have a super weekend,

Mrs Wallace
