We have had a very busy week this week preparing for our assembly with lots of prop making and practicing our sketches. We have been continuing to work together in our home groups collaborating with each other. We are very excited about our families coming into our class on Friday morning.

Tickled Pink

  • Great work this week during our comprehension tasks answering in sentences. We spoke about this as a target and most children did achieve this.
  • We continued to enjoy measure challenges.
  • We worked on our listening skills as home groups performed short dramas – learning what it means to be a quality audience.
  • Reverent Boyd came to visit and talked to us in class.

Green for Growth

  • We were looking at patterns in numbers to 100, ( 9-5 = . 19-5=. 39-5=, 99-5= )  and the relationship between add and subtract during our number talks. We realised that it is important that we keep working on our speedy recall of number bonds as this can help us when working with larger numbers.
  • We need to continue to demonstrate our school values being kind and respectful to others.
  • To continue to practice and increase confidence when using the microphone and performing in front of an audience.
