Be Your Best

Primary 6/7 – Friday 27th February

Primary 6/7 had a great week with lots of excellent learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we were extremely busy with organising and running our Rights Day, so we didn’t have time to discuss how the week went.

We all really enjoyed the Rights Day on Friday morning. There were lots of excellent activities to help everyone in our school learn about children’s rights and how important they are. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities and did a fantastic job with leading our younger learners in school and supporting them to take part in the activities and learn about rights.

Tickled Pink (things that went well):

  • We have continued to work hard on preparing for for our first class debate on social media access for children and young people
  • We enjoyed our persuasive writing this week and made good progress
  • We all continued to enjoy badminton in PE and improve our control of the shuttle as we worked on our backhand shots
  • We enjoyed talking about our Right of the Fortnight in class and discussing privacy, particularly in relation to phones and other technology
  • We enjoyed working on finding important countries and places on a map of the world linked to our World War II work in class

Green for Growth (things to do to improve our learning)

  • In Maths, we need to continue to work hard on fractions, decimals and percentages as well as our mental maths strategies
  • All children in our class need to work hard at taking care of school resources and keeping our classroom clean and tidy

Our school value award winners for this week are Noel and Sebastian. Congratulations!

Well done P6/7 for a fantastic, busy week and with your amazing support for our younger learners during Rights Day. Have a lovely weekend.
