What a super week we’ve had in Primary 2/3 Here’s what we would like to share about our learning:
Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):
- We have continued to work on our comic strips which we hope to share at our upcoming assembly.
- During Health and Wellbeing we learned about good hygiene and we made posters to share what we had learned with others.
- For our writing session this week we wrote response texts about Zog and the Flying Doctors by Julia Donaldson. This is a story that we really enjoyed reading in class and we had lots to write about it.
- During our outdoor learning session we learned about weather and after looking at weather forecasts online we started to create our own weather charts which we will complete daily. This meant we were able to earn another stamp on our WWF Happy in Nature passports.
- We learned about Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr and made our own mehndi patterns.
- We also had lots of fun during our Rights Day on Friday with the smoothie bike and the orienteering proving to be very exciting and entertaining.
Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)
- In Maths we started to learn about multiplication and we have enjoyed skip counting and building arrays but we are finding it difficult to remember rows and columns. Some children also found interesting arrays at home which they shared with the class on Seesaw.
Our school value award winners for this week are Alice for being ambitious and Elodie for being kind. Congratulations!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
