Be Your Best

Primary 6/7 – Friday 5th December

Primary 6/7 have had a great week with lots of brilliant learning activities in class. On Friday morning, we discussed our week in school and decided that we would like to share these thoughts about our learning this week:

Tickled Pink (things that we feel went well):

  • We really enjoyed our Writing lesson this week as we felt that it was fun to start creating a Christmas story for our buddies which we will be able to give them as a present
  • We also enjoyed our Maths with Mrs Flynn as it was fun creating board games for our buddies
  • Primary 7s really enjoyed their online transition lesson with the focus this week which was linked to RME as it was interesting to learn about the Day of the Dead
  • We really enjoyed our RME lesson in class as it was great to learn about advent and to have choice for how to present our learning about advent
  • We really enjoyed outdoor learning as we had some choice for our time outside

Green for Growth (things that we need to do to improve our learning)

  • Some of us felt that outdoor learning could have been better as not everyone was as responsible as they should have been
  • Some of us found it a bit tricky to work out what our Primary 1 buddies would be able to do in Maths when we were making the board games for them
  • Some of us were a bit disappointed in PE due to some silly behaviour from several people in our class

Our lead learners were Ben, Henry, Jake and Faith.  They decided on the following three targets for the class; to try not to swing on your chair, to be a good role model and to try to be the best version of yourself. They observed lots of learners in the class meeting those targets which is great news.

Our school value award winners for this week are Niamh and Harvey. Congratulations!

Well done P6/7 for a wonderful, busy week. Have a lovely weekend.
