We’ve had a really quick week here at Seafield PS, probably because it has been so busy! We had the first 2 family welcome breakfasts this week which were really well attended and gave parents/carers a chance to see their child’s classrooms. Our P7 took part in a cross country running event at Dechmont Law yesterday and put in a strong performance, representing our school very well. This morning, we had our first “Hub Groups” of the year. P4 – P7 signed up for a hub group and are either in the Rights Respectors, Reader Leaders, Global Gang or Health and Wellbeing Heroes. Each hub started to work on their action plan for the year and have some super ideas for how to take forward improvements in our school. P1 – P3 took part in a purposeful play session themed around “The Gruffalo.” They worked in mixed groups and took part in a range of play based activities, where they had the opportunity to develop some of the key metaskills such as collaborating, communicating and creativity. Everyone had a good time and worked well in their groups.
Our weather is starting to change as you will have noticed and we would ask that all children wear or bring a jacket to school going forward. It may be sunny when children leave the house in the morning but on a few occasions this week, the rain has arrived by the time the children go out to play and we don’t have enough spare jackets to provide everyone with one. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Parent Council Coffee Morning today, the event raised £116 which will be added to the PC funds which are used to support in school throughout the year.
Diary Dates for the year were shared in an email yesterday, please save this for future reference. Dates for term 1 are also shared on our school website and will be updated termly. Seafield Primary School – Seafield Primary
