Tickled Pink:

  • We have enjoyed reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears this week for topic and had fun doing an experiment to grow gummy bears. We had to make predictions about what we thought might happen to a gummy bear when it is placed in either water, salt water or sugar water. Then we observed the changes and loved seeing how big they grew in the plain water – they felt so squashy and were nearly invisible in colour.
  • We started looking at shapes in maths and had fun getting creative when making our own 2D shape drawings. We chose shapes to draw around to make the picture and then had to describe their picture by naming the shapes used.
  • We have been learning more sounds this week and the children are all really enjoying the songs and actions. We played a new game which was super fun! One child had a headband with a letter on it and the other children had to do the action for the child to guess the correct sound then write the letter on the board.

Green for Growth:

  • Some children are finding number recognition and formation a bit tricky – we will continue to practise this daily.
  • French was fun bit a bit tricky as the iPads were not all working correctly for us to use the ChatterPix app – hopefully next time they will be working better.

Lead Learners next week are Charley and Rose, Well done!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Wallace
