Tickled Pink:

  • We wrote the instructions on how to grow a potato plant in writing this week and were able to use our previous knowledge of growing our own potato plant in school to help us.
  • During outdoor learning, we had a walk around the school playground looking for bird nests. We found one right next to the nursery playground. After discussing what you would need to build a nest, we split into groups and tried creating our own. We then did a walking gallery to see everyone’s nests. Everyone did such a great job!

Green for growth:

  • We created food chains this week and learnt lots of new terms like producers, consumers, prey and predators. We found it a little hard to remember which way around they all went when creating our own food chains.
  • We were practising lots of different strategies when doing our division in numeracy this week. We are still finding dividing a little tricky but are enjoying trying out our different strategies.

Our lead learners this week are Lily and Leon.
