Be Your Best

P1/2 Friday 14th June

We have had a lovely week in Primary 1/2.

Tickled Pink

  • We have started a new topic, ‘Toys’, and the children enjoyed designing a toy that they would want to purchase at the shop. We compared toys from the past with our current toys and decided that we love the electronic toys we have! We looked at the different materials that toys can be made of and discussed what would be suitable for different toys,
  • In maths we have been looking at fractions and the children have enjoyed using the playdough to show halves.
  • For Health and Wellbeing we were looking at different tools that we could use to help us get to the green zone – this week we made our own rainbows for rainbow breathing! You use your finger to trace the arcs, breathing in as you go up and out as you go down the other side.

Green for Growth

  • We were learning about forces as part of our toys topic and it was a bit tricky to work out what some of them were – push or pull or both!
  • In maths, the P2s have been learning about quarters and have found it a bit tricky to find a quarter of a number. We will keep practising this – half it and then half it again!

Lead Learners next week are Eadie and Ernest.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Wallace
