Good morning everyone, here are our learning tasks for today.

Maths Task

Learning Intention –

To investigate chance and probability (Squares and Triangles) To build fluency with times tables (Circles)

Success Criteria -I can work out the chance of an event happening. (Squares and Triangles) I can develop my fluency in using times tables by completing the bingo games. (Circles)

Circles – Multiplication/division

Log onto the toytheater website and choose the multiplication and division bingo games.

Squares/Triangles– Chance and Probability

Log onto your Teejay textbook and complete pages 228-229

Literacy Task

Learning Intention – To select spoken texts and choose a selection of evidence to explain my preference.

Success Criteria –I can give a personal response to spoken texts.

Task 1 – Log onto CBBC Newsround. Choose a story. How did it make you feel? What did you learn? What more would you like to learn about the story? Discuss this with someone at home. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround

Task 2 – If you didn’t get a chance yesterday, try to write a poem for the Veolia competition. See Poetry competition blog from yesterday for more information.

Topic

Look at the information given in the power point and then complete these tasks.

African Food powerpoint

Task 1 – Discuss with someone at home or make a note of what fruits and vegetables are traditionally grown in Africa.

Task 2 Choose one fruit or vegetable and use your senses to write a description of it.

Task 3 Think of and discuss or write down the similarities and differences between ours and a traditional African mealtime.
