Good morning primary 1, here are some learning ideas for today.

Literacy

Reading with Oxford Owl E books or a book from home.

Listening and talking activity:

Play
I’m going to the seaside…
In this game, the rule is you can only take
something to the seaside if it begins with the
letter “s”.
Take turns – “I’m going to the seaside and
I’m going to take my scooter”… “I’m going to
the seaside and I’m going to take my socks”…
“I’m going to the seaside and I’m going to
take my…”
Keep going until you run out of ideas or
someone makes a mistake, then change the
letter if you want to play again.

Number

Number grid activity

Practice doubling number 1-5, and 5-10. Listen to the songs and sing along, there are task sheets to help practice if you’d like.

French

Parts of the body

Watch the first clip to listen closely to the french words for different parts of the body, then have fun singing and dancing to the song.

Topic

Watch this clip about some of the great wonders found in Africa…

One of the great wonders were the pyramids…Try building your own model of a pyramid, you could use mud outside in the garden, Lego or junk. With an adult you could look up some interesting facts about pyramids.

Remember outside is a great place to learn and explore too so enjoy the sunshine and get outside if you can.
