On Wednesday, Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 from Riverside had an exciting trip to Dynamic Earth. We enjoyed a Dinosaur Story Telling Workshop followed by a hands on experience exploring Fossils and replicas of Dinosaur claws, teeth and horns. In the afternoon, we travelled in the Time Machine to explore the first living things. Our favourite parts of the day included experiencing an erupting volcano, touching a real iceberg and finishing with a 3D movie.

West Lothian Dance Showcase
On Wednesday 12th March, our Craigshill dancers took part in the West Lothian Dance Showcase. We performed a ‘Journey through Dance’ covering a range of dance styles. Mrs Lochhead and Mrs Fallens are so proud of all of our dancers. What superstars and a great experience to be part of!
Performance details for parents/carers of the dancers will follow.

Our Class Mummy
This week P3/4 received another note from our friend Eliass, an Egyptian Archaeologist.
He told us about an Egyptian mummy whose sarcophagus has gone missing in Egypt. Whilst he helps to find it, we have to look after her at Riverside! Eliass had left a trail of hieroglyphs around the school for us to find. We worked together to find them all and crack the secret code.
When we got back to our classroom we couldn’t believe our eyes – a real-life mummy!
“I like her glasses, she must be an Egyptian fashionista!”
We have promised Eliass we will take good care of her during her stay with us and we are excited to decorate her sarcophagus next week.
