Primary 6 February Newsletter…
Welcome back to a new term!
Primary 6 are Jacobite wild!
Our topic is the Jacobites along with P6/7. We have been learning about the period in Scottish history from 1688-1745. We have been learning using different methods, for example creating timelines and researching using the laptops and finding lots of information out using the internet.
We have decorated our own kilts made out of paper and displayed them on the classroom wall. We are really enjoying learning about all the different people who lived in Jacobite times and why they went to war.
We are very enthusiastic about this topic. We really enjoyed planning it with Miss Gibson and Mrs Mackie.
The Schools 50th Anniversary!
This April, Murrayfield will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. We are all excited and looking forward to it. We have lots of ideas on how we can celebrate in the run up to it and on the day. Please feel free to contribute any more ideas to the school using the back of your school newsletter!

Language Centre – Food map of Scotland
As we try lots of foods produced in Scotland we are putting them on to the map of Scotland. We know that leeks are in season in January so are looking forward to leek and potato soup for snack.
Winter has arrived!
P4 Update
Just a quick update for primary 4, we had a great assembly on 6th December about Edinburgh. Well done to all the children! Our Christmas party was a great success and we shared the fun with primary 5/4 and primary 5. Photos to follow!
