This Week in P2…
- We have been thinking about the kindness of others and the ways we can be kind.
- We made penguin winter pictures using paper and glue.
- We made little Maisie cats for our Scottish Book week door display. We used small pieces of paper, paint and glue to create the finished Maisies.
- We have been learning about hot and cold lands and the animals that live in these places.
This Week in P3/2…
After a busy week in P3/2 we have been:
• developing our skills in addition, subtraction and division within numeracy as well as sorting number, shapes and items using Venn and Carroll diagrams.
• working on alphabetical order
• counting in French and learning the days of the week for our class calendar
• decorating our classroom door to the theme of Peter Pan for Scottish Book Week. We worked in groups to sketch, colour and paint the main characters and setting for our Neverland scene. Pictures to follow!
• learning all about weather for our new topic. We can describe the processes involved in the water cycle.
This week in Primary 7….
Well it has been very exciting for Primary 7 as we have been learning about Propaganda and how to pick out key VCOP from our text.
We had a bery interesting and factual handling session. We learned all about home life and clothes during World War One. We also learned about a young boy called William Angus, he was 10 when the Great War started and during the war he kept a scrap book that has passed through his family now for many years.
Mrs Liddell helped us to learn some amazing information and we really feel more knowledgeable about what war was like. We have been invited to create our own scrap book page and will become part of history along with many other local primary schools.
We enjoyed the Primary 4 assembly about bullying, it was very detailed and great that the whole school was involved by sharing their views on bullying. Well done to Primary 4 and Mr Benyon for organising.
Have a great weekend!!
