Dear Parents/Carers,

Just a quick reminder to let you know that there is still time to buy your tickets for the ‘Pies, Peas and Bingo’ night being held on the 14th March at Blackburn Bowling Club at 7pm.  The Parent Council have organised this fun event along with a disco to help raise funds for the school and upcoming events.  Tickets cost £2 for admission and are available to purchase from the school office.  Bingo books and sheets and raffle tickets will be available to purchase on the night.  We look forward to seeing you all there.

Nativity Performance!

What a show!!

The boys and girls of Primary One and Primary Two were very excited to finally put on their performance of  Whoops-a- Daisy Angel for our audience. After weeks and weeks of practise, our big day had finally come… the costumes were out and the microphones were on… well most of the time anyway!! The children said they all enjoyed putting on the show and we hope you all liked it.

A big thank you for all of the messages of support and encouragement we have had for our performance.

Community Action Blackburn (CAB) – Annual Competition

Good News!  Some of our pupil’s poster designs have been chosen to feature in next year’s CAB Calendar.

The panel had tough decisions to make with over 300 entries to this year’s competition and after much deliberation they managed to select their 12 winners who will make up the calendar months.

Murrayfield Primary School winners have been notified and will be presented with their prizes on Friday 22nd November 2013 at Blackburn Library at 1.00pm.

Well done to all our pupils who created fantastic posters and a big ‘Congratulations’ to the following pupils who have had their entries selected this year:

  • Nivyn Robson – P2
  • Casey Lumsden – P4
  • Abbie Heaney – P5/4
  • David Charker – P7/6
